Want to take a Screen
Shot in CFS?
I get a lot of email requests asking me where or better, how to get a
screen shot in CFS. I try to answer all these individually but if I missed a couple please
accept my apologies. My home business is starting to take up a lot more of my time lately
consequently the web site has suffered because of it. Below you'll find an email I sent
out to the last person that requested directions. I hope it helps anyone else looking for
directions on the procedure. Happy Flyin- Karma.

Screen shots are real easy to take. I have to apologize for not having this on the tech
pages, I've been real busy at my home business and the web site articles are suffering
because of it. Anyway, look for a couple new tech articles within the next week or so. Now
to get to your request, first off you'll need to have clipboard viewer installed on your
system. You can get this by going to add remove programs in the control panel, under
windows setup you will find it in your accessories list of options. Just click the box
next to clipboard viewer and then hit the apply button on the bottom of the page. Now that
you have that installed you will need a graphics program or windows paint, which works
just fine but is really limited if you want to edit the picture at all. If you look at the
pic on my tech page you'll see an example of editing a screen shot. A lot of what you see
in that pic was added after the fact. Ok, so now your ready to take a screen shot, hop in
your plane and take off in search of a fight. When you have a screen shot you want to save
hit the print screen key on your keyboard this will save it to the windows clipboard,
remember though,while a handy device, the clipboard can only hold one shot at a time, so
if you hit the print screen key again it will replace the shot that's already there. Once
you finish flying you can use to different methods for retrieving the shot.The first one
is probably the simplest, so I'll give you that . Go to windows paint and open a new
bitmap image, you'll be looking at a white sheet of paper so to speak. Place your cursor
over the center of the sheet, right click and choose paste and poof instant screen
shot! Now all you have to do is save it with a name and give it a location to save the
shot, I use a folder I created inside my Documents folder called pics. That's all there is
to it. Hope this helps you out. If you still get stuck, as many people do, email me with

I want to add a couple things I left out in that email. The other method for
retrieving the screen shot is to go to the clipboard viewer you installed previously. When
you open it the screen shot will be there for you to view and if your like me and miss the
shot you wanted you can just delete it from the edit menu without having to create a bulky
bitmap image first. There are quite a few free programs on the net that will allow you to
save multiple images in one session. I don't use any of them mainly because I'm to stupid
to work with more than one thing at a time!
